The developmental process that took place in Mesopotamia, considered the cradle of civilization, before Sumer has long been a subject of archaeological curiosity. The framework of Mesopotamia's prehistory, which was initially constructed based on limited data at the beginning of the last century, has reached a very different point as we complete the first quarter of this century. The view that clues to the formation of the Sumerian Civilization should be sought in the prehistoric materials and cultures of this region is gaining ground every day.
