Kütahya Museum Kureyşler Dam Rescue Excavations 2015-2016 Kütahya Müzesi Kureyşler Barajı Kurtarma Kazıları 2015-2016
I extend my sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your support of the Qurayshler Dam Rescue Excavations, which were conducted under the direction of the Kütahya Museum Directorate and for which I assumed full responsibility.
As you all know, the 2014 results of the studies were published in 2015. The publication of the 2015-2016 results was delayed until 2020 due to the completion of the studies and the establishment of the necessary financial conditions for publication.
Since you previously submitted your articles containing the results of the Qurayshler Dam Rescue Excavations to us, we were finally able to publish our publication, which has been a constant focus on our minds and contains extremely important results for the archaeology of Central Western Anatolia in particular and Anatolian archaeology in general.
To ensure that our academic authors can benefit from the academic incentive calendar, and since these applications are generally accepted in the first week of January 2021, we have prepared detailed files and sent them to all authors. We have learned that this schedule has been delayed for some of our academic authors, and while we regret this, I want you to know that we are doing our best. Considering the ongoing work and operations of the Seyitömer Mound Rescue Excavation, a large-scale excavation similar to the Kureyşler Dam Rescue Excavations, and the preparations we are making for a publication for this excavation, I believe you will find this delay in the process of preparing and submitting the highly detailed documents required for both publication and academic grant applications this year.
The print edition of our Kütahya Kureyşler Dam Rescue Excavations 2015-2016 book will be completed by the end of the month, following consultations with our publishing house and printing house. (Since our Kütahya Archaeology, Art History, and History Research - Kütahya Museum 2019 Yearbook - will also be published in the same manner, we are subject to the publishing house/printing house schedule.) Once printed, it will be sent to our authors' addresses free of charge. Furthermore, I kindly request that the book contents and abstracts we send to our academic authors for academic incentive applications not be uploaded to online platforms like ResearchGate or Academia until the end of the month. Any printed errors in the indexing will be reviewed and corrected by us before the publication date. Therefore, I kindly request that the table of contents and abstract, which I will send to you, be uploaded online as soon as possible. As with our previous publication, I kindly request that the articles within the book not be shared online due to copyright restrictions, and that only the abstracts be shared.
Now that the significant and challenging task of keeping our promise and publishing the results of an archaeological excavation has finally come to an end (although it has ended for this excavation, it is currently ongoing for the Seyitömer Mound Rescue Excavation), I would like to thank each and every one of you for your efforts, hard work, understanding, and patience in this significant achievement. I extend my respectful greetings.
Stay well.
