Due to its geographical location, the Anatolian coast has been one of the most important routes for seafarers throughout history. Iasos, an important city in the ancient Carian region, held a significant position on both the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean trade routes. Thanks to the topographical advantages provided by the mainland and the peninsula, it had two harbors: an artificial one built in a natural bay, and a natural one that utilized the bay as it was. Excavations in the ancient city have unearthed artifacts, considered to be imported materials, reveal that the harbors were heavily used for a long period. This study aims to comprehensively examine all phases, functions, plans, and forms of Iasos' two harbors (eastern and western harbors). Furthermore, a shipwreck discovered during underwater research in the bay, and a well-preserved amphora found within it, is an important find indicating that maritime trade was conducted in connection with the islands.
